Brightpath technical requirements

Supported devices, operating systems, and browsers

Brightpath is a web-based application, designed to be used in a web browser. Brightpath does not provide an application in the App Store or Play Store.

Smartphones

Brightpath does not support smartphones and other small-form-factor devices.

Device configuration

Internet access Brightpath requires ongoing stable Internet access for both teachers and students.
Display resolution 1024 x 768
JavaScript JavaScript must be turned on for both teachers and students.
File uploads Teachers that wish to upload student performances to Brightpath will need file upload access enabled.
Input devices Brightpath can be used with a keyboard and mouse, and on touch-based devices such as iPads. However, to ensure student success, we recommend that students completing assessments within Brightpath use a physical keyboard.
Auto-correct Some devices may have auto-correct enabled, which will adversely affect the accuracy of student literacy performances. We recommend that you turn off ‘auto-correct’, ‘auto-compete’, or ‘predictive text’ on student devices prior to using Brightpath

Content filters and firewalls

Brightpath is a web application that communicates solely via HTTPS. As such, it works as-is in many school environments. If your school uses a content filter, we recommend exempting the following domains:
